From NBC - "President Donald Trump is considering former Connecticut Sen. Joe Lieberman to lead the FBI, White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer told reporters Wednesday.

Trump will meet Wednesday with Lieberman and other candidates, including acting FBI Director Andrew McCabe, former Oklahoma Governor Frank Keating, and former top FBI official Richard McFeely, Spicer added"

Trump Considering Joe Lieberman for FBI Director: Spicer - NBC News

I get it. He's a Connecticut Democrat who probably knows Trump.

I like Joe Lieberman, but the FBI? He'll be great rebuilding trust in the FBI, but is that what's needed right now?

Plus, people on Twitter are claiming Lieberman is special counsel at the law firm that represents Trump. If true Lieberman should recuse himself.

If true, he should withdraw from consideration.

Lieberman is @ 75 years old. Seems odd to consider a man of that age for a 10 year appointment.

McCabe is the best choice.

McCabe or Ray Kelly. Whatever he does he better run it by the GOP gray beards in the Senate first.

No FBI employees should be considered.

Yeah, I'm embarrassed to say I didn't think he was still alive.

The man that represented Israel in the US Senate for many years should not lead the FBI.

In retrospect, yes, Arpaio would be a brilliant replacement. Almost poetic.
