Yep for some time ... but the more barbarians you admit, the worse things get. Should be pretty obvious by now.

The U.S. has a long history of attempting to influence presidential elections in other countries – it’s done so as many as 81 times between 1946 and 2000, according to a database amassed by political scientist Dov Levin of Carnegie Mellon University.

That number doesn’t include military coups and regime change efforts following the election of candidates the U.S. didn’t like, notably those in Iran, Guatemala and Chile. Nor does it include general assistance with the electoral process, such as election monitoring.

The U.S. is no stranger to interfering in the elections of other countries - LA Times

The U.S. hasn’t been the only one trying to interfere in other countries’ elections, according to Levin’s data. Russia attempted to sway 36 foreign elections from the end of World War II to the turn of the century – meaning that, in total, at least one of the two great powers of the 20th century intervened in about 1 of every 9 competitive, national-level executive elections in that time period.

Russia wasn't what it is now only a few years ago. They weren't as dangerous even 5 years ago as they are now. USA should be MORE cautious about Russia now than it was 5-10 years ago. Look at Russia's role in the UN: vetoing anything that comes out of the security counsel.

There shouldn't be "right vs left" here either. We can't let Putin and his KGB friends divide and weaken us. 'cause that's exactly what they are doing. Look at how divided the country has become. Yes, it started quite a while ago, but 2016 election cycle brought the division to a new height. You should ask yourself, who benefits from our division?

Jealous some else will befriend their bossom buddy!

Littany of Obama's love affair with Putin

defended putin in a debate with mitt

shared confidential syrian data on terrorists with Putin

witheld defensive missles promised to Poland to please Putin

HRC played patty fingers with Lavrov and the red plastic button when her and O wanted to befriend Putin and cozy up the US/Russia relationship. Funny the media didn't scrream that obama was in league with Russia.

O let putin hack government databases for 8 years, after the elction he manned up and in his deepest voice, in no uncertain terms, said to putin..." now you cut that out!"

O and HRC sold putin 25% of our uranium supply

Gave Iran 150 mill$$$ to fund terrorism which gave Russia a break in their effort to supply Syria and other countries with military supplies

whispered to medvedev to tell putin he have more flexibility after the election.. now what was that all about. that was Obama's Lynch/Bill Clinton moment.
Not a curious journalist in the media, what a co ink a dink!

Russia embarasses Obama when after a high level meeting with Putin, a general walks into a commanders office in Syria and tells him not to fly because Russia has the territory covered and doesn't want US planes interferring. That was a huge surprise to Obama and the media said, oh, how about that!

Hillary carried an unprotected personal device overseas despite being warned not to do so because foreign agents would steal her classified info, which was also not to be on her personal devices. Not even counting her personal server, lies and destroying documents despite a notice to save all emails. HRC handed classified info to Russia ! Oh and her buddy sid blumental and his russia connection.

We can only hope the special investigator will include hillary, blumenthal and obama in the russian probe.

What weakens us is the idea that any of this is our business to start with.

The way Obama treated Netenyahu was absolutely atrocious. There was no excuse whatsoever for it.

You mean where he spent hundreds of thousands in taxpayers dollars trying to influence their election?

I don't hate Russia. I just know they are not our friends, and don't have our (or our allies') interests in mind. Mainly because of Putin.

Russia, in theory, could definitely be our friends and close allies. They would need a different leader, though. Putin sets the tone - and it's quite obvious that he wants to expand Russia back to its "glory days" of the USSR.
