I think terrorism is appropriate in calling it. Everyone on that street was terrorized.. Not Islamic, but terrorism nonetheless.
I hope he ends up in a jail where the guards take a few hours off per day for recreation..
Supposedly he was on PCP too, and ex Navy Dishonorably discharged in 2014, after 3 years in service..
I see this argument a lot and it makes sense but terrorists work to achieve some political, religious, or ideological goal; this is pretty much a variation of the definition most federal and local government offices and LEOs give it (like the FBI and Congress/federal regulations). Not every act that causes terror actually is terrorism. This guy was someone who was hearing voices and was on some seriously messed up drugs that can lead people to become violent. His ultimate goal was apparently suicide by cop.

A regular old mass shooting or incident like this, with no religious or political connection, just someone who "snaps," is not terrorism.

Side note, I read somewhere that this guy never even served overseas - could be false, a lot of stuff has been floating around (like PCP or K2?) - and I was initially thinking PTSD could explain his actions but if someone never saw combat, I doubt they're suffering PTSD, at least not from military service. I'm just glad he did survive this incident and now he can be held accountable for what he did. It frustrates me when people who do stuff like this, and terrorists, wind up dying in a shootout or their own act and never get to face their victims and accusers and suffer in prison.

On a side note, PTSD doesnt always equal combat experience. There are ex service members getting it from combat to rape( lots of things in between there).. Think deep down, allot of people can have issues in life.. And PTSD is unfortunately an illness psychologists or psychiatrists throw out there, to compensate for something that affected a service members life..
I wont go into details, you are a smart person, you understand what I am saying.
