Nowhere did I say that women are never at fault, nor are all rapers toxically masculine. The former sentiment about it being the women's fault is what I see all over those sorts of forums when I go to marvel at that sort of thinking.
However, that phrase is what is under discussion and the idea that some (not all) believe that a man is not manly unless he does X. Capisce?
The phrase is not even worthy of discussion as it was coined by leftists to describe those to whom they feel inferior.

Huh? Some of the terms thrown around are weird, sure. But men ARE derided for doing things that aren't "manly". Otherwise words like mangina, *****, white knight, beta, chuck, blah blah wouldn't be thrown around.
Nope. I think the toxic comes in when things like rape are downplayed under "men will be men.".
In my 62 years of living and knowing more men than can remember, I can't recall ANY such attitude.
Granted, all of my time on this planet has been spent in suburbia and rural suburbia so maybe that's why I've missed out on meeting men like you've described.

In the news, in things like rape cases. Not every case, for sure, but some have this attitude in defense.
