Claiborne, a U.S. State Department employee, has become the first Clinton-era State Department employee indicted on treason charges, after a federal grand jury indicted her for conspiring to defraud the U.S. government, concealing contact with foreign spies, obstructing an official proceeding, and making false statements to the FBI. It is reported by many that she used her extensive contacts with Chinese intelligence agents to live lavishly with her thousands of dollars in gifts as she used a pay-for-play scheme, much like the Clinton Foundation operated for the Clinton family for years.
How can you claim a person has been indicted for "treason" when that crime has been defined in the U S Constitution (Article 3, Section 3) as "giving aid an comfort to an enemy in time of war"? She might have been charged with any number of peripheral offenses, but the nation remains officially at peace, and only Congress can define it and present an indictment for it.
Speaking as an embarrassed, though mostly economically-rooted conservative, your post merely serves to prove that the more-simplistic elements among the Right aren't always that distinguishable from the Loony Left

She is not a Clinton aide and at the time arrested she worked for Tillerson and Trump. So it would be more correct to refer to her as a Tillerson aide.
More correctly she is nobody's "aide" but more correctly she was a middle level operative in the State Dept no where near Clinton or Tillerson. Simply more dumb right wing garbage.
There are up to 70,000 employees in the State Dept. This person is one of those 70,000 employees, and she is NOT an 'aide' to Clinton who personally worked closely with Clinton.

She was hired in 1999, so that makes her Bill Clinton, Bush, Obama, and Trump era.
18 years in the State Department and only 4 under Hillary Clinton.
