I can see it even on this board. Trump's supporters are grasping at straws to find ways to defend him. Right now, "anonymous sources" seem to be what they are latching onto since the evidence is starting to become too insurmountable to be merely a "liberal media conspiracy to oust a President." In addition to these new scandals starting to break almost hourly, he has perhaps been one of the most incompetent Presidents we've ever had. Even with his own party in complete control of Congress, he still hasn't been able to get anything done without executive order. Something is wrong with that picture. When are Trump's supporters finally going to realize that this man is not the person they thought they were voting for?

When we've harvested enough liberal tears to last us through the hard times.

There is nothing to defend ... try again tomorrow with another thread. He's still the man I voted for - problem is the scum in Congress afraid of the outsider.

All you have are a few things people allegedly said. I could care less about the soap opera. Go back to paying the medias bills watching their ads will ya?

Republicans in congress just want to get their agenda passed. That's why they tolerate Trump. They control everything and could easily do it. But Trump has made it impossible with his lies and grandiose. It's all about himself not our country. The commencement speech at the coast guard academy was about how unfairly he has been treated.....seriously

Cognitive dissonance.

Events are moving extremely rapidly, most people can not keep up with the news cycle, the scandals are overlapping one another. It takes time for the importance of these events to sink in.

Increasingly supporters occupy an uncomfortable space. Some will jump one way, some the other.

Agreed. The difference between these stories & Wikileaks was that at least they published the emails, & you could read for yourself & form your own opinion. These press reports, however, are the worst--we're told that someone says Comey's memo said this, that Trump said that, blah blah blah.

He was elected by the people. Obviously not the swamp known as D.C. Obviously by not either party--Trump is really an independent--& that's part of the problem--he is a man without a party & he's really alone in all this. But can't these politicians see? We are sick & tired of both parties. That was part of Trump's charm, if you want to call it that. It's obvious--DC, NYC & LA feels entitled to rule this country. Comey may be nauseous thinking he caused Hillary to lose the election, but this wrestling of the voting power away from the rest of America is what sickens me.

It must be very difficult serving in this administration with all the turmoil, Flynn and the Trump offspring providing direction, getting yelled at by Trump. why would anyone with talent want to ruin their career.

When the deck chairs have not only been rearranged ad nauseam, but have all been swept overboard and are bobbing on the waves.

Trump had no charm. Hillary was a horrible candidate but you guys had a dozen to choose from. Yet you gave us Trump....an egotistical narcissist. He knows nothing about running a country. He's more interested in getting accolades. Do you think our country would be in such turmoil and chaos if any other republican had won.
