POTUS has always been a Protestant thing. One Catholic got in (JFK), but never a Jew, and that has upset certain quarters.


His Orangeness is about close as American Jewish population is going to get for now so they'll take the win anyway however it comes.


Then you have to consider post WWII most American POTUS have kowtowed or at least been vocal in support for many Jewish causes including Israel. Obama was lukewarm at best and don't think that didn't go unnoticed. Again certain sectors of American Jewish population now feel with DT they've got their own back in a way.
