All religions do indeed have fundamentalists, the main difference with Islam seems to be the sheer number of people who follow this warped interpretation and are willing to carry out the most disgusting and barabaric acts in the name of religion.
Have you ever heard of a Buddhist, Chinese, Korean or Yazidi suicide bomber?why just (mes-----)
This religious fundamentalism in some religions does not call for extremism
But it calls for tolerance
It is for this reason that explicit names must be mentioned, which serves the truth, not hatred and contempt

Whatever way it manifests itself fundamentalism can be found in an array of religions.

Fundamentalism is merely the concept of people interpreting religous script in a literal way than can not be questioned.
And in all its forms, it is a manifestation of utter and complete insanity. An affront to humanity, to Reason, to morality, to philosophy. And a tribute to metaphysical ugliness and elevation of utter evil.

Fubdamentalism is indeed all of these things and is used by evil people to justify disgusting acts against others who don't share their warped views.
What is beyond my comprehension, common sense and logic would tell you that no human being should take another's life, and all religions are man made....any religion that suggests killing others is not a religion....anything violent that hurts others is not a religion....but more so a sick manifestation of some organized man made religion to control....and yes warped views....sick minds.

every single human being has purpose.....
That's your uninformed opinion. The fact is that Jesus Christ was the son of God and he started the Catholic Church himself.
And before that God himself gave his word to Moses and the Hebrews.
Don't turn your lack of faith into fact.
