Not much that can be done about it now.

Too late.

Reading these posts, it's as if people never heard of colonialism. And I'm not just speaking of "modern" colonialism (example being the Americas 1600s and up). It's much older than that. The ignorance is astounding.

Can you cite one speck of hard evidence of the benefits of "diversity" that we have heard gushed about for years? Evidence of its harm can be seen — written in blood — from Iraq to India, from Serbia to Sudan, from Fiji to the Philippines. It is scary how easily so many people can be brainwashed by sheer repetition of a word.

I get what the OP is saying. However, if you are a believer in the Christian faith then we all essentially, whether as poetry or literally, came from the same person. It's education that changes people for the good...

I do look at Western Europe and see how well the socialism works there-- is it because of a homogeneous society where everyone is willing to help each other?

The premise of this thread is a refutation of classic liberalism, which was the philosophy of the founding of this nation.

Thomas Sowell, a man who personally benefited from diversity in the United States, doesn't see one speck of hard evidence of the benefits of "diversity"?

Perhaps Sowell truly believes that the nation should be comprised only of WASPs.

If you look at the world, no matter where it may be, the more races/religions/languages/cultures there are ends up disproportionately relating to just how peaceful/united people are.

You look at something like Japan where, it's about as homogeneous as can be. Can you not say it being one of the most crime-free, healthiest, and overall most successful countries has nothing to do with it? Look at Europe, the more diverse it has become the worse it has gotten. As far as the U.S is concerned, I know people will respond with "But the U.S has always been a nation of immigrants", true, but of the European kind. Which, while technically diverse, is far different than those otherwise. When the founding fathers created this nation do you think they honestly thought by immigrants it would be hundreds of thousands/millions from Africa, Middle East, Asia etc.? And for those that would say they love diversity, well, if you really feel like you need it, isn't that what planes and boats are for? Instead of importing different people into your country wouldn't it make more sense to go to others yourself?

Sure I'll get lots of flack for this but if we look deep-down on our nature as humans isn't it the truth?
yeah, that would be perfect, but what Americans fail to understand is, you cannot take a primitive culture, as those in the Middle East and "MAKE", them change or catch up to modern times. They will never agree to change...never....it takes generations to work that out...and it is a very slow process of acceptance.

"Your" country?

Who are you? Why is it "your" country and not all the peoples that built it? It's okay to take advantage of (and by that I mean indenture and enslave) other races and nationalities to give "your" country a good headstart but now they can all eff off and leave you, whomever you may be, to reap the fruits of their labor?

What a disgusting premise.

Wanna bet Whogo had no idea Thomas Sowell was "dark skinned"? LOL

It takes considerable knowledge just to realize the extent of your own ignorance. - Thomas Sowell

The irony is that diversity will eventually result in the ultimate homogeneous society.

At some point in the future, the entire planet will be a nice shade of coffee with cream.

Whatever will the Left do then, when they can no longer use identity politics to divide us?
