President Trump just gave ISIS its new name: Losers. (Short for Evil Losers).
If you think that’s no big deal, you’re wrong. It’s a big deal. This is – literally – weapons-grade persuasion from the most powerful Master Persuader of our time.
As I have taught you in this blog, President Trump’s clever nicknames for people are not random. They are deeply engineered for visual impact and future confirmation bias.
In this case, the visuals will be provided by future terror attacks. That reinforces the “evil” part, obviously. But more importantly, the Losers will be doing nothing but losing on the battlefield from now until “annihilation.” They are surrounded, and the clock is ticking. Oh, and the press isn’t allowed to watch the final battles. In other words, we won’t need to build new holding cells on Guantanamo Bay this time. No press means no prisoners, if you know what I mean. (American soldiers won’t be shooting the prisoners. We have allies for that sort of thing.)
As you know, “annihilation” of the Losers in Loserdom won’t stop the loser’s ideas from spreading. You still have to kill the ideas. And that takes persuasion, not bullets. President Trump just mapped out the persuasion solution: Evil Losers.
Quickly, name one other way you could label/insult the Losers that would be as powerful as the word Loser. You can’t do it with any other name or insult that is also repeatable in polite company.
What kinds of people join the Losers? Mostly young males. And you know what brand young males do not want on them? Right: Losers.
So...President Trump will bring down ISIS by labeling them as "losers." Too, too funny.

There is absolutely nothing clever or involving "deep thinking" when it comes to Trump. That those words are connected to him in any way is beyond hilarious.
But hey, he did promise he was going to eradicate ISIS. I just thought he had a plan beyond merely calling them schoolyard names. Yeah, I'm sure they're all shaking in their boots now.
The idea that ISIS can be defeated easily is as ridiculous as believing Trump can bring Israel and Palestine to a peace agreement. These issues are so complex and so deeply rooted they may never be resolved.
Trump just signed a $100+ billion arms deal with the Saudis. We know the Saudis fund terrorists so that the terrorists will leave them alone. Maybe we should be asking why Trump just handed big contracts to the defense contractors to supply arms for the people who fund ISIS.
Of course I'm not convinced, but thought maybe there is something to it. Perhaps with the lone wolf types who are drawn to it anyway. Definitely not with the true believers. They don't care what you call them.
First, it's a bad approach generally, to set up a stupid dichotomy of winners/losers. Life doesn't work that way.

Of course I'm not convinced, but thought maybe there is something to it. Perhaps with the lone wolf types who are drawn to it anyway. Definitely not with the true believers. They don't care what you call them.
A lone wolf will not be diverted by being labeled a loser. That probably plays into the very reason he is a lone wolf to begin with. And the true believers will merely laugh.
But it's like Trump to believe that all he has to do is come up with some pithy label and that will fix everything. That's about the mentality we're dealing with here.
