This is part of the problem with our country. You can't use statistical data to prove one method is better than the other without providing some statistical data for both methods.
Statistics can be useful in the hands of the right people......
"As healthcare systems are stretched beyond their capacity, there are various pressures on the emergency departments," Rhonda J. Rosychuk, a professor of pediatrics at the University of Alberta, said in a press release. "In Alberta, women were more likely to be discharged from the emergency department than men for acute myocardial infarction, unstable angina, stable angina, and chest pain. However, there are few data on the epidemiology of AFF in the emergency department setting, and sex differences are not well understood."
It appears Canada's healthcare systems are stretched beyond their capacity and women are disproportionately suffering because of it.
A bit about Rowdy Rhonda Rosychuk:

As a biotatistician, Dr. Rosychuk develops new statistical tools to solve complicated problems and contributes her statistical expertise to medical studies. Statistical research can be classified as an essential science that includes the development and investigation of new mathematical techniques to solve problems in areas of application such as medicine and health. Developing new and better statistical techniques contributes to the analysis and interpretation of medical studies that lead to advances in knowledge. Dr. Rosychuk focuses her statistical research program on methods for improved design and analysis of medical studies. Specifically, the primary interests involve geographic surveillance and medical diagnostic studies. The geographic surveillance work involves disease cluster detection methods that seek to identify geographic areas with higher disease rates than would be expected by chance. Her diagnostic medicine work includes methods for potentially misclassified data, such as results from an imperfect diagnostic test. Ideally, these statistical methods are motivated by real data obtained from collaborations with medical researchers.
