Well a scam artist relies on their ability to foster "faith" in their audience that they are on the up and up and are telling people the truth... and religion relies on its ability to foster "faith" in it's audience that it is on the up and up and is the the truth... what possible reason could there be for there always having been such a gravitation of scam artists to religion? Hmmmm
Wait a second here...
Scam Artist - Results that either don't exist or aren't what they say they are. Relies on psychologically manipulating people into believing them on faith. Loose or antagonistic relationship with the truth. Preys on vulnerable demographics - kids, old people, etc.

Religion and govt., two institutions people put blind faith into for solving their everyday problems. Both are full of charlatans, but at least you can avoid the preachers, politicians not so much.
How screwed up we would be if Religion and Government were merge.? Oh wait there seems to be a bunch of people who would like that.

Up until 2005 he was taking a $200,000.00 annual salary from the church and he lives in a $10.5M estate. And how much free advertising for his books does he get from the tax free church every year which shouldn't be a commercial enterprise.
Here we go again. Another day, another pastor robbing people of their hard earned money.
Sadly, it's a black church where the people surely can't afford this kind of financial drubbing. They'll never bounce back. But of course, he says that he'll do his best to pay restitution.
How could these people be so gullible as to fall for this crap??
I always find it odd how racism is accepted when it is a positive application.
Why do you assume that if it is a black church, the people are far more poor than if it were a white church, or any other?
Do you not realize that all races can be poor? There are many churches where it isn't a "black church" and the people aren't well off, and there are black churches where the congregation is not poor.
So why the racist labeling?
Also, you are asking how people could be so "gullible"? You do realize that pastors and the churches operate off their congregations donations right? That this is common among most churches out there? You do realize people give money to the church for not only the sake of that, but also for programs that the church does such as charity and the like?
So what is it you find gullible? Giving money for the sake of spreading the word of Christ and helping those in need?
Sounds like your post was more about promoting your racist opinion and denouncing Christianity.
"Miracle spring water" from the televangelist, yes.
Many people might be conned by charismatic Youtube celebrities asking their subscribers to fund their "research" or "projects" or they might fall for internet websites that tell them to give personal information, but it takes something more to be conned by someone selling "miracle spring water."

Condemnation of a much larger group based upon the bad actions of a few is the same tactic the stormfronters use
