From visits to Saudi Arabia to Israel to Brussels, the former model First Lady set her sights on an extensive wardrobe made only for the most discerning of fashion tastes. In Reem Acra, to Ralph Lauren, to her love for custom-made Dolce & Gabbana, Melania Trump took the world by storm with her style, channeling an elegance and grace that perhaps hasn’t been seen since former First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy.
According to WorldVision, you can feed a child for just $35 a month. Michelle Obama’s dress would feed over 80 children for that month. This choice obviously is contrary to the values of Pope Francis. But the Obamas’ religious values come from elsewhere, a divisive and disturbing place, not a charitable or unifying one.
That $2300 dress looks like a blob and who needs a $51,000 coat? That is just stupid but in both cases it is keeping the economy going. it is obscene wearing such pricey clothes and jewelry.
Melania is a former model after all so comparing her to Michelle is not right.
Comparing Melania to Jackie Kennedy? I wonder how she would look in a pillbox hat?
Yeah because other First Ladies didn't wear any expensive clothes
Oh this is an age old discussion for all First Ladies when they choose to wear an expensive designer, or a non-American designer. CNN did say that she has to pay for her own clothes. She can afford it.
Melania always looks lovely but it was fun to see her go out on a real fashion limb here. I know it isn't everyone's taste but the jacekt is amazing. Good for her.

So please explain the logic of why former models must wear more expensive clothes than the commoners? She hasn't modeled in 20 years.
And please explain the logic of how a $51,000 jacket designed by an Italian designer, and not made in the US "keeps the economy going?"
Honestly, are Trump voters forced to hand over their logic when the receive their cult membership card? Because it really appears that way.
And they wonder why the public doesn't mind that a reporter gets decked. LOL CNN how low can you go?
This isn't low -- it says nothing derogatory about Melania's character. What happens is you all are so biased in your hate for CNN you read deep, dark insults - that just aren't there.
The jacket got buzz on social media so they had some reporter do a piece on it. All the points are legit -- even the one saying that the First Lady pays for her own clothes...accept for special situations like state dinners, etc.
It's okay -- nobody is ranting about Melania's jacket -- no more than those who complained about anything the First Ladies have done for the last 50 years.

It's not like she wore clothes when she modeled anyway.
