According to this professor, many college students today do not or cannot really distinguish between words and actions. So when they hear speech that they think is attacking them or consider "hate", they feel justified in responding with physical violence in "self defense".
I'm certain it isn't. But the acceptance of things like this has me wondering about the future.
I think it is because its essence, arguably, is to teach young people how to become gentry. This isn't 100 percent true of course. I'm saying by and large, IMO. You can't have a society that's 100 percent gentry and you can't push the koolaidy notion that every individual is destined to be gentry. Universities push the latter notion. Again, just my opinion. I feel this creates eff'ed up entitled young adults because they drink the koolaid for years before their rude awakening.
