Er no, that's what you think. I, and any other sane person, doesn't think people standing up to hate speech deserve to die. Being told to shut up does not justify using deadly force.

There is a Governor imposed moratorium on executions in Oregon at this time.
I said that because society is better off with him not around, of course he deserves a fair trial. He's crazy as a bedbug, but with a prior conviction and prison gang membership, an insanity plea will be difficult.

Your, the only one stating they deserved it.

I'm trying to understand your point.

You stated that

So, do you believe that these individuals
A) deserved to get killed
B) didn't try to stop him from speaking his mind
C) didn't use physical action

It looks like everyone is arguing from their biases again when we don't have many facts to go on. If he stabbed the individuals just because they told him to shut up it's murder. If the individuals assaulted him he could walk.

Not necessarily.

It is certainly possible that Christian killed them in self-defense.
*******s are as entitled to defend themselves as anyone.

Is does get murky in this type of situation as to who felt threatened.

If the 3 guys got up and threatened Christian (possibly with a knife) he has a right to defend himself.
If the 3 guys got up and told Christian to shut up, and he threatened them, then he loses that right and they have the right to defend themselves.
More than likely, the 3 guys got up and situation escalated.

There is a cartoon strip explaining what to do in such situations.

Preliminary information indicates that the suspect was on the MAX train yelling various remarks that would best be characterized as hate speech toward a variety of ethnicities and religions. At least two of the victims attempted to intervene with the suspect and calm him down. The suspect attacked the men, stabbing three, before leaving the train.

"and cam him down" Ya, right. You need to shut up right now, or else..... That calmed the situation down.
The trains have security cameras.

Care to say that in a way that makes sense?
