Nothing against you personally, but I notice whenever a bigot or avowed white supremacist commits an act of terrorism, any associations are downplayed, and the perp is largely dismissed as mentally unstable. But as soon as someone who calls themselves a Muslim carries out the same act of violence, it's an indictment of Muslims and immigrants as a whole.

I am not taking it personally. I understand the point you are making, I am only saying this person sounds anti-social (cutting throat and all) I doubt he supports anything, (meaning, I doubt he even voted) After all, there are several posters in this very thread automatically assume he was a Trump supporter.

In term of Muslims, well, I think a lot of people came from war-torn countries might suffer from PTSD, it might explain some of the behaviors.

Mental illnesses and violence sometimes go hand in hand.

Mental illness and criminal insanity are two different things. Even if a person suffers from mental illness, it is still extremely hard to be excused in court. Insanity defense is hard to prove anyway.

You think he is sane?

Or doesn't deserve a defense?

I'm a liberal, and I find much of Trump's rhetoric very disheartening, and even scary, but I know many people who voted for him, and none of them would do such a thing.

This kind of generalization is not better than people on the right who come on here and say that all liberals riot in the streets. Please don't play that game.

I live here. I've ridden that max.
No one encourages hatred more than the Liberal Trump haters.

Same deal here. So knock it off.

Yeah and how many hateful remarks did you make against all liberals because of the actions of a few in Berkeley?
