White House to roll out budget proposal, cutting Medicaid, assistant to the poor - MarketWatch

"The White House on Tuesday will roll out a budget proposal crystallizing the president’s priorities in a blueprint that calls for large cuts to social safety-net programs such as Medicaid and food assistance while increasing Pentagon and border-security spending."

Doubtful anyone will be safer, but they might be hungrier!

This is standard playbook for all conservative administrations. Eliminate social programs and anything for the poor, boost military spending, give wealthy a tax cut.

Tax cuts for the wealthy mean higher investments in stocks and more money in my 401K and IRA.

Those who shall not work shall not eat.

Of course, because it's all about you.

And what about those who DO work and still can't eat? Since you oppose a living wage and all... Or those who can't get jobs because of automation taking over in certain industries?

Conservatives are basically fundamentally selfish people who can't empathize with the plight of anyone different from themselves.

But they sure do whine when they don't have a job. Begging the POTUS to fix it for them.

Make no mistake. the deplorables will be as deeply affected as anyone by safety net cuts. If they are suffering now, as they say, they will really be screwed when the economy goes into the inevitable recession.

Unemployment is about 5%.

I suggest you unselfish people donate to a food bank.

Liberals are basically selfish people who want to coerce others to support their pet charities.

But... You guys said that's fake news! Your own Dear Leader is fond of saying that the published U-3 unemployment rate is a lie and the real rate is much, much higher.

Duly noted and done. And I suggest you grow a conscience and some decency, but we both know that's not gonna happen. Gotta keep those rich people getting even richer!

You beat me to it! Since 2009 conservatives have refused to believe the U3 rate and acted like the U6 was some secret conspiracy.

The U3 is now around 4.4% and was only slightly higher when the Trump supporters were begging for help with their job situations. I simply do not remember Trump telling the coal miners and farmers to "find a job, unemployment is low"?
