Hey, all.

Sorry for the departure from the political news of the day, but I wanted to say I hope everyone is okay after the severe weather over the weekend. We got off pretty easy here - power is back on after going off a bit before midnight Saturday, and no damage to home or property, save a refrigerator that must be cleaned out. About 90,000 households still without in our area, and some probably won't have it back until the end of the week. Winds in a neighboring town reported to be up to 80-100 mph, with many trees down and some homes destroyed. If you pray, please keep these folks in mind. No idea how the Midwest fared, but I know storms were expected in Kansas and Missouri, too, so I hope everyone there made it through with little damage.

I know this doesn't really belong in this forum, but I wanted to make sure the people I talk, debate, and argue with see it. No matter what our differences may be, I want everyone here to be safe and well.
