If I understand the outrage, it's that troops never drank anything alcoholic. Ever? Also don't you mean Memorial Day and not Veteran's Day. Your post refers to Veteran's day.
to no one in particular; i think what people are talking about is not so much the popsicles but rather her frivolous ideas on what to do on memorial day; have a picnic, have a bbq, wear all white, blast some tunes, pour the bubbly, pack like a pro, all written and shown very cutesy and to find this section of ideas for what to do for memorial day weekend, it is under "play" section, next to style, home, work, travel, wise words, and shop. it's all pink and white and shows a picnic basket and champagne, flowers and fruit. it says "memorial day, it's the kick off to summer" and "turn the music up, it's a three day weekend" and then goes on to give the ideas. but not one mention of remembering and honoring military who have lost their lives, the real meaning of memorial day.
and i think there a lot of people out there who don't know the meaning of the word outrage.

Her people aren't good at this are they Not sure folks are outraged but posting something like this you are asking for trouble. Her staff has to be smarter. Not even one 'let's be thankful' or remember the sacrifice but a couple of -- here's how to have fun this week end....and let's make champagne popsicles (what a waste of champagne).....

Memorial Day Weekend for more than not - is a celebration of the start of summer. Monday is the day for remembering & gratitude for those who take the time to post a meme on FB or Twitter. Doesn't stop the partying.
