I would say I don't care what his opinion is about it and it isn't even the purview of his office to have any real say.
Why do you care what he thinks?
Oh, I know... because he agrees with you?
No - -because the Defense Department is one of the largest single users of energy of all kinds and the implications for planning in the future take into consideration the changing environment.
You didn't read the article I posted in another post....Trump’s defense chief cites climate change as national security challenge
And in the total absence of any proven counter information; you'll accept the world is flat because you've not walked around it's circumference yet?
I get it. The bulk of the world's citizens are ignorant because some unquestionably retarded Americans say so.
What do you want me to counter? The amount of pollution claimed by your social media site wiki?
Or..
Any conclusions you make due to it?
I find it interesting that your first reaction was to quote me some stupid wiki chart when you had the WHO article (granted it was nested) within the link you provided.
It is like you people don't even know what you are quoting.
This is why I won't waste my time educating you because you are out of your league, it is like talking to a first year math major, they took a couple of math classes and then think they know their head from their arse.
Run along, I hear there is a candle light vigil going on somewhere you can cry and show your concern for the planet.
The argument is really about how much of it is manmade/caused.
I support efforts that reduce pollution, and do wish that it would not be enveloped in the GW argument.
The DoD is smart in preparing for the perceived effects of GW and what sort of defense posture is needed.
During the days of wooden ships, the ice locked north provided a great natural defensive barrier. With tech improvements etc, the north is no longer that great defense barrier. If the Ruskies can inhabit more of their artic regions it makes it easier to put offensive assets in closer proximity to middle USA.
Companies are looking into the resource exploitation that can come from changes that may open new areas of exploration for oil etc.

And I respect Mattis & his view not just because of this matter......I think he has integrity.
I don't care what he has to say on global warming. His opinion means nothing and he even admits this is outside of his purview. Also, your argument is beyond stupid. You are literally telling me because they use a lot of energy, this somehow qualifies them to have an opinion on the position of the science.
Here is the thing. I don't care what his opinion is, that is what you people care about. You care about appeals to authority, political bodies of opinion, administrative summaries, etc...
none of that is science. I care about what the research actually shows, what it is founded on, how it achieves its conclusions and whether it can properly validate it according to scientific process.
So... you can prattle on about opinions from idiots because they happen to agree with you, I will stick to the science.
Reports are that Trump will pull out of the Paris Accords on Climate Change. If true it is devastating news for our children and he has effectively destroyed US credibility around the world. Be prepared for furious reaction from around the globe.
The USA now become a backward looking nation rather than one facing the future. Trump continues to bring us down.
The argument is really about how much of it is manmade/caused.
The idiots can't even isolate the so called affect of man from natural variability without using models which are nothing more than assumptions about how they think the earth's systems work.
These people who are claiming certainty are either stupid or liars. There is no other explanation.
If liberals want to worry about the planet, then focus on the third world. Yes, the mud huts have a low carbon footprint, but these countries are developing more and more, with more cars and factories and pollution and (especially) more people every year. And their industry is largely unregulated. No EPA there!!(gasp!) Africa is just getting started on ramping up their coal powerplants, and their population is skyrocketing! Are you still going to be blaming America and republicans in 50 years when 80% of the world's population lives in third world smoggy shantytowns along polluted rivers and garbage choked streets?

Yes, all the greedy corporations, banks and third world despots will be gnashing their teeth and wringing their hands, over all the billions of free American taxpayer dollars they will not be getting their hands on.
