Police Corruption issue was toast once BLM intervened. If it would've been left up to Ferguson and The Movement the issue probably would've been solved.
Instead BLM had a LITERAL DNC surrogate leading their 'movement' (was really a non-profit). Who was in office/power at the time? Who sent tanks to Ferguson? WHO could've done something about the entire situation?
Black Lives Matter is a joke. None of them are victims. None of them had solutions. And none of them gave a damn about victims, protestors, or anyone involved besides themselves. You'll find article after article after article stating the exact same thing from Founders, Organizers/Mobilizers, Protesters, Ferguson, and family members of victims. As well as victims themselves.
Only people endorsing BLM are white media. And that's not an endorsement, that's just to bury the black media that brought the issue to the forefront (bet you didn't know that did ya?)
At least the rest of the world see the organization for what it is. Their organization is not perfect by any means but it's worth acknowledging the amount of awareness and genuine activism they've sparked in others.
You have your membership in BLM paid in full I'm sure.
The rest of the world doesn't live with BLM, doesn't live with their riots, assaults, murders. They should be properly labeled as a terrorist organization, not some BS "peace prize".
This is like saying that if the NRA wants to get more support they need to take up hunger in third world countries, or protecting rare owl species.
The problem that was being brought to the front was police corruption. The ACLU shouldn't be arguing for better roads even though that may also be a problem in the country.
I was responding to a comment about BLM trying to uplift the struggling black communities. Addressing police matters is a good thing but it would not begin to address their problems. If black lives truly mattered to them they would not be ignoring the primary problems the community faces. If police issues is their singular focus, then the name of the organization is far too broad.
The Black Lives Matter social justice movement has been recognized with a global peace prize that in the past has highlighted the work of South African civil rights activist Desmond Tutu, renowned philosopher Noam Chomsky and former Irish President Mary Robinson.
The Sydney Peace Foundation announced last week it will give Black Lives Matter its 2017 peace prize during a ceremony scheduled in November for Sydney. The award recognizes the work of the founding leaders of the social justice activist network, Patrisse Cullors, Alicia Garza and Opal Tometi, who began working together after Florida neighborhood watchman George Zimmerman was acquitted in 2013 in the shooting death of black teen Trayvon Martin.
I wonder if these are the same people that gave Obama his peace prize . You know, the one he got a year before he started bombing Libya and starting civil wars......
What do we want?
Dead cops!
When do we want 'em?
Now!!
and...
Pigs in a blanket, fire 'em like bacon
