Uh, no. The EU has gotten away with not paying their agreed upon share of NATO for decades. The trade agreements with our trading partners have resulted in huge trade imbalances which favor our trading partners not America. NK has been developing long range nukes capable of hitting California and America just let 'em. And other weak positions held by past leaders in the Yahoo drivel piece posted in OP.

On the contrary. Trump demanded America quit being stepped on.

On the contrary. About time Trump demanded America quit being stepped on.
WRONG.

There was no NATO fair share. In 2014, NATO countries -- all of them agreed ..to ramp up their own military budgets (not contributions to NATO) to 2% of their GDP by the year 2024. It's a goal just to have a reserve..in case they need to step in.

There are no bills due by any country.

Trade imbalances have less to do with EU getting away with anything and Americans embracing consumerism and being such a large country.

Stop buying things...trade will drop.

"A few weeks ago, just after Erdogan visited the White House, a bunch of Turkish goons kicked in the heads of protesters outside the country’s embassy on Massachusetts Avenue. Thanks to this excellent video analysis from the New York Times, we know that several of these thugs had ties to Turkey’s security service, and they could be seen conferring with the Turkish president himself before deciding to plunge into the crowd."

"Erdogan watched the bloody crackdown from behind the armored window of his car, two miles from the White House."

"What did Trump, who talks so tough with other NATO allies, have to say about any of this? Where was the outraged tweet blasting back at a foreign incursion in the American capital? How many Turkish diplomats were expelled?"

"Erdogan flipped his middle finger to the White House, in full view of the world, and Trump hid in the West Wing, whining about his press coverage."

Seems for all his bullying and bluster, the only ones buying his line of BS are his faithful followers.

Very insightful article. Donny and the cult are not seeing the big picture. Too busy puffing out their chests and playing bullies. Still focused on WWII and the 'they would all be speaking German' thing, while Europe is progressing into the future.

Fact is, with Trump in charge, the US is going to fall dreadfully behind the other nations in his attempt to drag us back into the coal mines and protectionism. If he won't let the tech companies hire the people they need, they are not going to stay here, never mind bring jobs back. Americans will pay higher costs for products.

Trump is a bull in a China shop who is kissing up to the autocrats and the dictators of the world, who know how to play him. There is no way this will end well for the US.

All empires fall, and Trump is determined to accelerate our decline. His ego, ignorance and temperament will be our downfall.

"...She said European powers “needed to take our fate into our own hands,” which prompted Trump to fire off an angry tweet assailing the trade gap with Germany and vowing to make the country spend more on defense.

Because what we really need are fewer BMWs manufactured in South Carolina and more of a German military presence in Europe. That’s always worked out great before..."

...The more the narrative focuses on Trump’s toughness and bluster with our allies, the less anyone focuses on what’s really been exposed in these opening months of his presidency.Trump is weak, and our rivals have figured it out..."

Sadly, you are reposting lies.

These matters have been explained over and over and accurate information is easily available via Google. Surprising that you are still so misinformed.
