Putin Vows Military Response to 'Eliminate NATO Threat' If Sweden Joins U.S.-Led Alliance

Interesting article. I hadn't realized Sweden is a partner but not a member.

1) Why are we inducting anyone into NATO?
2) I note both Sweden and Finland have decided to stay unaligned so why is Putin talking about it?

Well, it may be smart to expand NATO to the Muslim world, and with Germany and Sweden set to become the newest Muslim states in Europe within the next few years, this is just the easiest way to do it.

Sweden doesn't even border Russia, so what is Putin gong on about.

As for the Finns I suggest he leave them alone, as the Finns are willing to fight to the last and have given Russia a bloody nose before, which is why Finland ws never part of the Soviet Empire and Warsaw Pact.

The "little green men" trick isn't going to work in Sweden that's for damn sure.

And what exactly would Sweden do, ask the US for help?

well, Putin is barking.

But... Here is always the big But

In a full-scale war (that is non-nuclear. . . more on that later), the combined military, economic and industrial strength of NATO is by a VERY WIDE MARGIN superior to Russia. The numbers + training + technology in NATO right now, in Europe, make it impossible for Russia to stand a chance.

But that's not gonna happen. NATO v. Russia involves four nuclear powers; those powers aren't going to war. A proxy war? Maybe, but not a full scale war.

They would simply eliminate the threat. Sweden isn't an ultra corrupt mafia state like the Ukraine is.
