Here we go again with you ---"the cult". You worshiped Obama and Hillary, does that make you a "cult member"?

Give it up already!

it is four months now. 3 is a trend. We have low growth, and lower jobs market.

To me the worst part is the cheerleading of a POTUS who claimed he is the "JOBS" POTUS. Yet he is doing worse than Obama.

Jobs created =/= people becoming employed.

I think you guys are misunderstanding what the above numbers means.

the monthly job report is not about who got a job this month, it is about actual positions created by companies. Whether they have been filled is reported, but it is not in the base set of numbers you are quoting.

Employment numbers are how many Americans have a job. That number goes up and down, but it isnt always an indication of the economy. As older people leave the work force as a greater percentage of the population than young people enter it, that number will struggle to keep pace (which is why it took till 2014 for it to return to 2007 numbers)

DJ,

the 'number jobs created' is supposed to be number of new job over number of jobs lost (layoffs, reirements etc)

for example
the market creats 100k new jobs, but also 50k jobs were eliminated..the total is 50k created (100-50=50)

I posted the ACTUAL number of people EMPLOYED...IAW the BLS

I want to know whose labor Trump is talking about, because it's certainly not his.

Did you just pick what you wanted to see about the post. The stocks went up because of the good outlook about jobs. Selective reading on your part. Usual thing with most liberals.

TRUMPERS

you need to understand something.

Nobody here is saying the sky is falling, we are simply asking you stop being foolish and stop pretending Trump has done anything at all to improve jobs.

He is sitting there but policy is hard and he has yet to enact any real policy other than showboating. The jobs numbers reflect the economic trends over the last decade, not Trump in any meaningful way. His inaction may start to erode jobs soon and he is NOT instilling confidence outside of his base.

With many dozens of major employers asking Trump to keep the USA in the Paris agreement , Trump put ego and fanbase ahead of jobs.
Trump is now pretending he is going to negotiate a new deal, but he has said this repeatedly and has done nothing. All he is doing is alienating our partners and weakening our position. There will be no new negotiations, Our corps will lose out and will not win the many hundreds of billions of dollars in "green" contracts with developing nations. Trump just handed EU, China, India millions of long term jobs.

you are in a JOBS thread, not a stock forum. You know this the topic is jobs, not stocks.

As such i keep on topic despite attempts to deflect away from it.

stocks are moving up for over 7 years. not a few months. Obama has done a great job and you are welcome. And stocks did NOT go up because of lousy jobs numbers, that is just in your head.
