If you played ball with the Russians and do not disclose it... Getting the picture yet? Oh

Surely Daddy Donnie can just take a cool billion plus out of his pocket to pay this off, right? There's nothing to worry about Jared lying about meetings with a sanctioned Russian bank that has direct ties to Putin.
Did you say that Bill Clinton was vulnerable when he was deeply in debt, and taking very questionable donations, including from a cocaine dealer that was in prison, that Bill later pardoned?

I thought Donnie Darko was voted in to end business as usual in the white house? Silly me. Yep if it was good enough for Clinton, and Obama, it's good enough for Donnie and the Trump daddy cult. Two wrongs do make a right after all. It is indeed a disturbing universe.

Kushner sold his Fifth Ave high rise. He doesn't have $1.2B in debt. He lost several hundreds million on the deal, but that is settled.

Unless he did shady things setting the deal up he's not subject to Russian influence.

good for him. I wonder where he put the money he did receive? He certainly did not pay off his creditors. The Trumpsters never pay their debts even if they have to betray their country to do it.

Everyone including OP is off by a factor of 10.

Kushner needs 12 billion dollars not 1.2 or 1.3 billion.

See Kushner's plan was announced in March 2017 to replace the building with a new 1400 ft tall skyscraper.

There is misinformation also in this thread that Kushner sold the building. They sold off only a portion of the building. They will need to buy that portion back as part of plan to build a new place.

On paper Kushner claims he sold his interest in the building to his father. This would not in anyway be called an arm's length transfer. Also, isn't Kushner the likely heir to his father? Thus Jared's interests are still very much at stake.

In December 2016 Jared already knew about the plans to convert building to 1400 ft tall and renters were already leaving because they knew too.

Kushner needed the back channel communications to negotiate the financials of this new tower with the Russians and knew it would be better if they only spoke in Russian facilities because what he was doing was illegal.

See Wikipedia if you are a Trump supporter.

...but Jared is soooo successful...

Jared bought that building at the height of the real estate bubble. I think he probably over paid.

Documentation of this claim? Everything I've seen says he (via being a member of the Kushner family) owns it.

He was trying to sell it to a Chinese company this spring (because the Trumps like to vilify China while taking their money), but that deal fell through.

No Deal Between Kushners and Chinese Company Over Fifth Avenue Skyscraper
