I was on the subway in Brooklyn today and heard a black woman use that word at least 30 times, and quite loudly at that, while talking on her cell phone. There were several very liberal looking hipster types within earshot of her conversation (heck, she was so loud, people in Hoboken probably heard her), including one guy wearing a big Grizzly Adams type beard, skinny jeans, and a turquoise fedora, but none stood up and approached this woman to admonish her for using the word that offends their liberal sensibilities the most. Why? If liberals find that word so anathema, why not demand that the people who both use and perpetuate its use the most stop using it?
In addtion, if that word is so offensive and hurtful to blacks, why do they use it so prolifically? If blacks really want that offensive word to disappear for good, wouldn't it make sense for them to stop using themselves?

Interesting that when a fellow who runs our entire nation makes fun of the handicapped or talks fondly about molestation, the right is mum.
Since that never happened, it's moot.
