Ex-employee fired in April returned to his employer and killed 5 people before killing himself. Same employee was the cause for a police incident due to workforce violence before he was fired.
Bickering about gun control and terrorism is easier than talking about the real problems that nobody has an answer for or will try to solve because there just isn't any political pay day for it.
People are becoming unsocialized misanthropes that can't deal with any emotional issues or stress. Not with family, heck, parenting is a lost art. Not with work, people are expected to be machines and employers are only viewed as paychecks. People treat employees like dirt, people treat coworkers like dirt, people treat customers like dirt and people treat people like dirt. You see this with everybody. Street thugs. Motorists. Cops. Politicians. Everyone treats others like crap if they can get away with it. Society is broken. Our culture is broken. Or if it isn't its been getting worse and worse the last 40 years at least.

The reality -- if someone has no records they don't get in now. No one is advocating making it easier to get into the USA (opening the flood gates).
The whole point of the travel ban was to review the rules and regulations. They could have done that now.
The fact that most of you forgot what the initial intent was of the ban shows the level of ignorance on what this administration is truly doing.
It was a red herring...a dog and pony show. For 90 days we'll deny entry from these 7 countries to review our immigration laws and processes. How that helps on day 91 and with 32 other countries not in the ban that have been identified as potential issues...you got me. How that will help with recruiting via the internet....not sure. Rational thinking seems to have been thrown out the window.
This administration has now had som 130+ days to review the immigration process, identify the loop holes and close them.
Talk about simple minds.
The travel ban was to regulate refugees coming out of those countries....and when I say regulate, they wanted to weigh each and every person that was coming into this country to find out if they had ties with terrorists groups, because those countries were known terrorists live. Trump wanted to look at each and every one, case by case, which make sense. That's what you do....
Green card holders from those countries were not effected.
(Reps said, the order was meant to "eliminate vulnerabilities that radical Islamic terrorists can and will exploit for destructive ends".)
They use our system to infiltrate this country, in the meantime, Trump wanted to work on other problems of immigration, but 90 day hold was a start....
if you took note, most of the so called refugees were men, why?
this whole situation is lack of respect for the law, lack of respect for rules and regulations....
and that is why London and other countries such as Italy are now in trouble.
Do you know what some of these refugees do?
They surround a woman, and when I say surround her, they use their bodies to shield and hide from anyone about what is going on inside that circle, then they take turns raping her. they actually attacked in broad daylight a woman reporter, reporting on their behalf.
The main stream media doesn't show all this....they won't.
Hopefully looking at it from your side, I hope this wasn't a terrorist attakc, b/c the more there are, the more rights they lose to come in....and I believe they know that....they know we're watching.

Seven people were killed, including a 15-year-old boy, and at least 44 other people were wounded in Chicago shootings throughout the recent Memorial Day weekend. That three day slaughterfest didn't make it to Breaking News.
This mass killer in Orlando who killed five people had a history of alleged workplace violence and, according the Law Enforcement press conference, been arrested in the past for drug possession and DUI.
I wonder how the Press determines what is Breaking News worthy?

Not saying that terrorism isn't a problem, but it is far down on the list. I will admit, I think the Islamic cult is barbaric and feel it has zero place in modern society and it baffles me on how people want to be a part of it. But we have much larger issues to deal with in our own back yard. Statistics may show that violence as a whole is down across our country but it seems like we have localized areas of violence running rampant in our inner cities and we need get a hold on why people are snapping like this. What in society has caused someone that can't handle their emotions or stress and think that taking lives is going to make things alright. Why is violence the first thing these people turn to ?

This is true; however, there's also mental illness. I was involved in a workplace shooting a few years ago. The assailant had a long record in his young life of being unstable. Turned out he had untreated schizophrenia and, yes, an unsocialized misanthrope to boot.
The worst thing is, he was that guy that creeped you out in the workplace. Various places he worked for knew he was a problem, but there is such a stigma in turning people in: one because none of us in the workplace are mental health professionals and, two, it's never quite enough to fire anyone so you're stuck ratting the person out and then having to still work with them.
The person in my instance had been reprimanded the week before, stewed about it, bought a gun over the weekend, and decided to shoot everyone up on a Monday.

I'm so sorry ChristineVA, that you were involved in such a horror....can't even begin to imagine what you and others there went thru.
