Your examples tell me that you are on the left, in spite of your constant attempts to state otherwise.
One incident by a Trump supporter. That's all you've got? Because those other examples are just words. And words don't send you to the hospital. Words don't require you to hide your face with a mask. Words don't roam through crowds of peaceful protesters bashing in heads. Words don't require police protection.
Of course the alt-right is not 100% innocent. But you are implying that conservatives attending a rally are extremists, while completely ignoring that ACTUAL violent beatings perpetrated by the left-wing anarchists. That makes you look dishonest and very partisan.

Portland has been as much a hotbed for skinheads as it is a hotbed for the young liberals for many years, and the city has a century-long tradition of street battles. The notion of peaceful protest being conducted by only one side, being met with physical confrontation by the other does not apply to Portland, and never has. The skinheads and the hippies have been battling it out on the streets for many years there.
Neither side was going to be driven down without a serious fight, so both came prepared. The fact is that while some scuffling and a few brief fistfights broke out, none of the weaponry was ever deployed by either side.
That the demonstration didn't go to more violence is a tribute to the Portland police, with assistance for the State police and National Guard. They have been dealing with incidents like this for a long time, and the piles of seized weapons are evidence of their success.
This isn't the 20th century any more. There won't be any more one-sided events where large groups of people will put up with being beaten, sprayed, or hauled away without physical resistance and fighting back.
That's not to say there won't be many peaceful demonstrations to come; there will be. But they will only stay peaceful it no one starts a fight. This generation of kids isn't following Dr. King's non-violent ways at all.
