I would amend your post to read: Obama's election made America hate again, and I would agree with that. It's a small edit, but a defining one.

I was responding to another poster. I'm sorry if that is not clear to you.

I am not condoning this man's reprehensible behavior but let's face it, Muslims around the world have got a big PR problem on their hands and compared to the dead in the UK, Paris, Nice, San Bernardino etc. these girls got off easy.

All of this anti-Islam crap started on September 12, 2001.

I disagree with you, but amend away to make the statement your own.

So we got an old geezer, that said something to these girls either unprovoked or maybe he overheard them saying something he didn't like....regardless he acted badly.

He didn't take a steak knife and cut a few throats before being restrained or go to his car and get a gun or run them down in the parking lot.

He also didn't get the religious police to show up and beat them for being out unescorted.

The attempts to try to fluff up really minor instances like this in order to offset the stream of attacks occurring around the world is sad.

Yeah, I remember when his primary campaign labeled the Clintons and their supporters as racists.

That was a pretty defining moment too.

You are going to be called a liar for pointing out the truth.

This isn't either of the extremes, but it's wrong.

I'm NO prog, but I can still care as a parent and a fellow American.
100% if I am sitting in a restaurant and some nut comes in and starts yelling at the nice people next to me because they are muslim, im going to stand up and get involved. period. because its wrong.

my problem is, the left wants to make every case of a nut the same thing as Political Islamists killing people. they aren't the same. They don't happen with the same frequency and they don't end with the same result.

If you are a Muslim and you reject Political Islam, then you are the same as me. I am a Christian and as with virtually all Christians, we reject the idea of some Religious Oligarchy.

This thread is about trying to bring some perceived balance. It is some misguided moral equivalence. I suppose the goal is to say "see they have a reason for what they are doing".

No "they" don't. We aren't talking about Muslims. We are talking about people using violence to bring about a political state where Islam is the ruling dogma. period. yelling at people isn't a moral equivalent.
