Voted Trump, but I would probably vote libertarian if I thought they had a chance.

It is surprising how many people we expect to be one way and learn the opposite as time goes by. I had a girlfriend who was an installer for the phone company in the DC area; she was as conservative as they come; I remember how much she hated it when they went out on strike, the same with another friend of ours. He retired as a union worker from the phone company in CA; again so conservative he made us look liberal and his family was from a very poor, uneducated farm family in AR I think.

That we agree on political matters means we have peaceful family gatherings, so there's that. I'll take what I can get. Kids, love 'em.
You do bring up a good point, and I shouldn't have worded it the way I did or maybe the way you took it. I think I was more pointing out we do agree but certainly I didn't mean to pat myself on the back.It is just we have so many friends who have kids and grand kids the age of ours that do not even vote. I am proud ours do. They take an interest in what is happening in our country, they don't just sit around and *****.

Age 42, generally moderate but I have voted for Republicans the majority of the time in the past. In the 2016 presidential race I was not comfortable supporting either of the two major candidates, and the winner has lived up to my poor expectations of him. We really need some viable alternate parties in the US!
