Trump won the election and republicans control Washington DC. Clearly the majority of America is conservative. Why so many liberal posts?

Seriously? This board is bombarded with pro-Trump nonsense everyday. And when I say nonsense, I don't mean it's nonsense because it's about Trump; it could be about Gandhi and it would be stupid.

And congress doesn't necessarily function as a demographic survey of the United States. Voter turn out is generally very low. Liberals are apparently voting less now too, particularly younger ones.

Hillary still won the popular vote... so technically the majority of the American population is more Democrat/Liberal.

I see the opposite. All I see are endless posts about how the democrat party is going to eat us.

Trump didn't get the majority of the votes. It was well less than 50%.

AND, only 50% of Americans voted.

AND, some were driven into Hating Hillary by millions spent on hacking, disinformation, right wing media.

AND, the elections were likely rigged (to some degree).

Bottom line, if you want to get a feel for the totality of Americans, look at the Trump approval rating of about 35%. Even that includes many who dislike Trump (but dislike Dems more)...

As far as "conservative" - how is a free spending, twice divorced, puzzy grabbing, bankrupt and devil worshiping (or at least 13 yo girl worshiping) guy "conservative"? There may be such a thing as "conservatives", but these guys are not into Trump. That is why the GOP in Congress are now trying to do things without him. He's not a conservative by any measure.

Cause you can't count. LOLZ

Also, gerrymandering gave the house to the Republicans. The Senate is pretty evenly split 52/48.

https://www.senate.gov/history/partydiv.htm

115th Congress (2017-2019)
Majority Party: Republican (52 seats)
Minority Party: Democrat (46 seats)
Other Parties: 2 Independents (both caucus with the Democrats)
Total Seats: 100

I don't know why I bother. Conservatives in this country no longer seem to respond to factual responses, but you guys lose your s*&t when a black person or a liberal exercises the same 2nd amendment rights you're so crazy about...

Whaaah? Where in heaven's name do you get that idea after 150 years or more of history showing elections in America having nothing whatsoever to do with "the majority" or the expressed will thereof?

It has ebbs and flows. Personally, I am getting tired of all the collusion news. Everything that could have ben said is already said. Until Trump does something interesting policy wise, like digging the foundation for the wall and cement trucks, I don't get excited enough to post.
