How can it be an Abuse of Power, when within the executive powers the President can shutdown an investigation at the drop of a dime, because he thinks it is a waste of time and resources.
The only farce I see, is a big waste of time and resources for ZERO and more loss of political capital for the Democrats. 2018 is going to be hell for Democrats if they keep doing the same thing over and over, expecting different results.
Easy...because the BRAIN-DEAD MORON told the world he fired Comey ove the Russian Investigation!
Legal experts: Comey's testimony described serious misconduct by Trump including "abuse of power"
But legal experts interviewed by Media Matters disagree and say Comey's testimony alleges serious misconduct by Trump, including actions that could constitute abuse of power or obstruction of justice.
“It’s clear that with [Trump's] firing of Comey, he shows the combination of trying to influence the investigation lined up with what else Trump knew at the time and what Trump himself said: that he fired Comey related to the Russian investigation,” said Fordham University Law School legal historian and law professor Jed Shugerman when asked to react to Comey's testimony. “All of that together is very clear proof of Trump’s intent.”

The President has the power to come in and say, "This investigation is taking too long and taking too much resources and making the USA look foolish so shut this MFing thing down right now" and it would be done deal OVER.
That is the Executive Powers the President has.
He tried that by firing Comey. Did not work.
He could try shutting it down but it would not be OVER and should he succeed, he could very well follow in Richard Nixon's footsteps. Those who do not learn from history....
..."President Nixon ordered Cox’s firing. However, the person with authority to dismiss Cox, Nixon’s Attorney General Elliot Richardson, refused to carry out the order...Richardson resigned...William Ruckelshaus, then became acting attorney general, and also refused to obey the order. Ruckelshaus resigned too...Bork finally carried out Nixon’s order and dismissed Cox....That hardly solved Nixon’s problems. Instead, it only accelerated public interest and outrage at the brewing scandal..."
