Thanks for your insightful response.

You are the one lying or being ignorant. I have seen socialism and communism in action. Have you?

Because it conveniently justifies anything the government ever does. I'd use it if I were a evil tyrant. "Rape? You agreed to have sex with me by living here! If you don't like it, move to Somalia."

I remember watching her on Tucker Carlson a while back. A lot of these protesters are weak, cowards, unthinking and easily led. But as I watched Felarca I remember thinking that she was a dangerous woman. Intelligent, focused, determined, a leader, angry and a complete idealogue who is not afraid to use violence to further her agenda. I believe that she will become more dangerous in the near future. I say that with no irony or malice. I hope I'm wrong.

In western political thought, there has always been a distinction between public and private space. Athens did it well; all are equal in public (if you're a property owning man... but amount of property does not make you more equal that others) but in private, there is a rigid hierarchy. Public space takes concern for all and private space takes concern for no one.

Almost all political movements in western political thought have acknowledged this distinction in some capacity. Classical liberalism and modern libertarianism uphold that distinction at it's highest in the modern era, while modern liberalism and democratic socialism allows for overlap, but still a distinction. Not so with the totalitarian ideologies. Fascism and Communism ignored that distention. Fascism in particularly completely destroys your individualism. While Communism in practice does the same thing, some communists and socialists still value the individual in some capacity. But fascism is always about the unity of the whole, and the ruler is the owner of the state. Your house is his property.
I typically think of others before myself in public, or around others. But in my apartment, all your base belong to me lol.

That was interesting, skeptic. Thank you. I'm not all that well versed in politics, which is why I don't offer my opinion unless it's something I know about, usually my posts are just me being adorkable lol.

so im not going to argue who is or what is facist but, as a guy that has spent the better part of my life studying history, I can say, that what we have seen from Progressives acting out across the country, and in particular in Berkley CA is very much in keeping with the actions of the Nazi Party in the years leading up to their taking control of that nation.

They are violent, they intend to have their own speech recognized while at the same time preventing others from having their voices heard.

That is a very direct threat to democracy. and I do not see any condemnation from the left.

A complete take over of the media with only one side with no other. Totalitarian media.

Government taking over private industry with regulations and dictating to what they can do.

Using violence as a means to an end.

Putting race first instead of people.

You are all strange people, because you are arguing about a thing, that hypothetically speaking doesn't have anything in common with the US at all, BECAUSE - here it goes;

"Fascism /ˈfæʃɪzəm/ is a form of radical authoritarian nationalism,[1][2]"

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fascism

So "Nationalism" is the key ingredient here, vital to the true meaning of this word, that is absent in the US for obvious reasons. So it's really not "right" or "left" thing - it's a NATIONALISM thing.
The only way you can use "Fascism" without getting into any semantics, is in a sense that Russians commonly use this word, which implies a savage oppression - ruthless, brutal and lethal.

So there you go.

fascism is left wing...

just because something is to the right of something else does not mean it is right wing

fascism (socialism lite) is just slightly to the right of socialism, but still way to the left of center

democrats are to the right of liberals...do you say democrats are right wing...no

the line is more like this
socialist/fascist.........far liberal........liberal........left democrat.........democrat..center..republican..... .con republican.......conservative.........far(religiou s nut) conservative

then you have the neo-con/neo-lib which cross both lines

right of center is less authoritarian, far right is almost anarchistic....left of center becomes more authoritarian to totalitarian (control)

liberals are to the right of socialists...would you call a liberal right wing??
