I might be naive, but I think we may get an honest investigation into the Trump/Russian deal by not only Mueller, but by the Senate committee. From all accounts, Mueller is not one to be swayed from the truth by politics, and I was encouraged to see so many Senators, on both sides, yesterday actually appearing to be asking important questions and not letting party get in the way. For the first time, many of them seemed to put away politics and actually concentrate on getting the true facts.

It may end up that there is nothing to this Trump/Russian deal, no one can predict that now, but I feel better about at least the truth coming out, with no whitewashing of the facts. I know that the Trumpees will be saying "witch hunt", and we will be saying "he's guilty", but let's see where the facts take us.

I would say most Americans would agree with you.

There is no Trump Russia deal.

You guys have become quite deranged about it.

Don't you get tired of being proved 100% wrong about Trump time after time?

I think the whole Russia/Trump thing was already denounced yesterday. Even MSNBC said the whole thing was over.

Now, it's just a senseless conspiracy theory. If you believe Russia/Trump, then you're just as bad as someone who believes in Pizzagate.

It's over. Let it go.

They haven't been given permission to let it go yet.

It is an Alinksy tactic. Lie, accuse, lie and accuse. Keep your opponent on the defense always, never answer or defend against their rebuttals, always lie and accuse, lie and accuse.

As far as I am concerned the Russian conspiracy thing died yesterday when it was asked of Comey if the Russians hacked the election or tried to and he said yes but no votes were affected.
That is very telling.

Of course we do need to find out exactly what influence they might have had because they kept saying that they worked the internet since 2015. I still don't see what difference that makes. Did they plant fake stories about Clinton to sway public opinion towards Trump?

It is all sketchy.

I thought the questioning was very partisan and it seemed like the Dems were trying to catch Comey out to somehow incriminate Trump. The Reps dug around but the Dems were using dynamite to get to the bottom of something that is not even there.

I watched several different news channels last night and I didn't hear it was over. Whether Trump was gleefully cheering on the Russian meddling, remains to be seen. But the Russian investigation is certainly far from over.

Agreed.

It's fascinating to watch. And quite amusing that it doesn't work against Trump.

Trump continues to beat them time after time.

I think the investigation will be fair and let the cards fall where they will. However, I hope everyone will move on with their lives after we know the results. The government needs to move on and I hope liberals, GOPs, democrats and independents will accept the results.

I do not want to hear about the results of the investigation being wrong for the next year.

As Americans, we need to heal and unify.
