No, actually, it's the same thing.

No one ever claimed that Trump himself was secretly plotting with Putin's cronies to steal the election. Putin and Trump are not, in person, acting as spies, hackers, and the like. Obviously their underlings carries out their misdeeds.

Is Hitler innocent cause he never personally hurt a fly? Of course not. Stalin? Pol Pot? None of these people actually harmed anyone. They had others do their misdeeds.

Here's a key question - would Trump be willing to swear, under oath, to all of that?

Also, Trumps' track record with the truth is frightening/scary at worst, and abysmal/embarrassing at best: Donald Trump's file | PolitiFact

So I'm not about to just "take his word for it" at this point.

I look forward to Trump going under oath to state all of this, though - I really hope he does, it would really add some meat to his claims.

You think that Trump is going to be impeached for something that never even warranted an FBI investigation of him?

All I can say is wow.

I actually looked up the "top expert in criminal law" ...... and guess what.
He is certainly an expert, in fact he joined a very exclusive "club" of Lawyers who have argued 100 cases before the US Supreme Court last year. Michael Dreeben is the Deputy Solicitor General for the Criminal Docket in the US Department of Justice.

Is there actually anyone who doesn't understand that a Special Counsel is only appointed when a Criminal Investigation is in place? We always knew Mueller was involved in a Criminal Investigation.

What is the CRIME? So far, we only know of one CRIME and it's one the Media spend next to zero time on.
There may well be more, but only one is known.

If Trump isn't calling Edward Snowdon and asking if there are any homes for sale in Snowdon's neighborhood, he'd better start now. Once they have Trump locked in, the first offer will be to resign. If he refuses it, he'll have two choices - jail or zakuski with Snowdon.

But how good a buddy will Puty be if Trump can't access his cash?
Gosh.... he can still fall back on his "Brand".

Any time Trump testified, it did not go well for him. See the the trial where Trump tried to sue Timothy O'Brien, author of "TrumpNation: The Art of Being The Donald" in 2005 for writing that Trump was only worth $150 million to $250 million.

This was the one where Trump said his net worth depends on how he feels that day. All Trump had to do was prove he had assets over $1 billion. He could not and the lawsuit was dismissed.

Sorry, to impeach Trump, the House doesn't need evidence of a crime, the at minimum they can decide if he abused the power of his office and move forward.

I keep going back to the platform changes In re to Russia and the Ukraine that the Trump demanded out of the blue at the convention platform meetings. That was a real WTF moment at the time and could be the smoking gun. Not being talked about now but its still out there.

Well then something is seriously wrong. Crimes should be investigated, not people. Investigations of people are political adventures and offensive to American concepts of justice. There is no allegation that Trump committed any crime. If he's being investigated, the investigations need to stop.
