Nothing you wrote answers my question about why the left has never protested any other GOP POTUS like they have Trump. You cannot provide any examples of the left going bat**** over any other GOP POTUS.
There is a reason. Think it through. It has to do with the quality of the character of the man, or rather the total lack of any moral character. Its about the man Trump, not about the GOP or conservatives.
I think it is multi-faceted. Except Reagan, most post New Deal Republican Presidents were willing to work with Democrats even if they were a minority party. Even Reagan did but it was contemptuous at times. Trump comes in at a period after the Republicans vocally said resist and block the previous president's agenda. Many people forget this when defending Trump.
Then Trump has done little to bridge the gap like Reagan did. Every single time it seems Trump tries to build a bridge, he burns it.

You just described your reasoning and the weakness of your position. I'm not looking for a date.
There is no politician free of character flaws. When people weighed the difference between Hillary and Trump, Trump came out the winner. His message and policy's won the election. The globalism and anarchy of liberal extremist lost appeal in the voting booth of middle America, who decided the winner. Butt hurt and full of negativity there is still no positive message coming out of the Democrat anarchy party. They are for nothing and against everything.
98% of politicians lack a spine. Republicans will stick by Trump in the pathetic manner Paul Ryan kisses his huge ass until they think they are at significant risk of losing reelection votes. That's really all any of them value, holding on to their own power.
Gingrich makes the point :
Robert Mueller’s so-called independent investigation is delegitimize as Comey reveals it as poisoned fruit. Comey's action put his friend Mueller in a position of power. It looks like the fix is in once again.
I have never understood why it would be reasonable to think that Muller and Comey's relationship would not be a reason for Mueller to turn down the offer to be an "Independent Counsel".
So many Senators on record phrasing Comey for his integrity and honesty now is seen as such bad judge on their part. They are now using that same bad judgement, in the same way, to phrase Mueller. Maybe Mueller will surprise us but he shouldn't be in that position in the first place. Nowhere can Mueller's involvement be view as 'Independent" or unbiased.
Republican politicians as a whole have proven to be a spineless bunch and some are never Trump. So far not many of them stepping in to support their party leader. Many like the swamp and don't want it to be drained.

My guess is the GOP will stick with him just as long as it is politically expedient to do so, and not a second longer. They know full well the emperor has no clothes and it's just a matter of time until they are forced to admit it.
And that that moment is rapidly approaching.
Yeah, that's great JAMS14...you hijack a thread with your pointless anti-Trump vitriol and then accuse a sensible poster of deflecting from your post which can't be responded to because it doesn't actually make a point apart from the fact that you don't like Trump.
