for the life of me, I don't understand why gays think Trump hates them. Has he ever done a single thing either for or against them? It seems he's pretty liberal on this kind of thing. Why the hate? I don't get it.

Trump brought sessions and pence into his inner circle. They're not exactly friends of friends of Dorothy.
I don't think trump himself cards one way or another, but he's certainly not going to be a champion of gay rights.
