He has a high IQ and a PhD. He's probably the only GOP intellectual in the Senate. I can say, that he impresses me. The only problem is that he might not appeal to the conservative base. Remember. This country is anti intellectual, especially Red Country. They voted for someone with a 4th grade vocabulary. How would Ben Sasse win over votes from that base?

I hadn't heard of him so I looked him up before voting.
No. Would not vote for him
I'm tired of hyperbole... I'd rather vote for a level headed, rational candidate.
He's an intellectual but so are many other phonies.

But he's a conservative Republican.

I don't support a party that supports a dictator.

Heard him in an interview recently. His book is on my 'to read' list for this summer.

Here's a highbrow interview he did with the Hoover Institution. I can't believe you wouldn't support him.

Not for me. I am done with Republicans for the time being. Not sure if I'll ever go back.

I now only support candidates who understand climate science, understand the meaning of stewardship and want to be a positive force tackling the climate change challenges coming along. That pretty much knocks out every Republican office seeker until they screw their heads on straight again.

While he seems slightly more sane by Republican standards, nope - after this dumpster fire of an administration and the absolute evil being orchestrated by the Republicans, I will NEVER vote for a Republican.

Someone is trolling a US senator (Ben Sasse) with Nickelback newsletters

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/arti...wsletters.html
Republican Senator from Nebraska Ben Sasse subject of cruel Nickleback prank
Claims someone subscribed his family and work emails to the band's newsletter
Canadian band Nickleback has been called 'the world's most hated band'
Sasse has been known to frequently joke about Nickleback on Twitter

The only post that mentioned policy. It's always about policy.
Granted I don't see how climate change is the make or brake issue for anyone. Environment itself rarely makes it into the top 10. Usually it's the Middle East or the economy.
