Nebraska Democratic Party official won't resign after calling reactions to shooting at GOP baseball practice 'so funny'

The Nebraska party’s leadership asked Gentry-Tipton to step down Wednesday, several hours after she wrote, in a Facebook thread about the shooting at in Alexandria, Virginia, “Watching the congressman crying on live tv abt the trauma they experienced. Y is this so funny tho?

Later, in the same thread, she stated, “The very people that push pro NRA legislation in efforts to pad their pockets with complete disregard for human life. Yeah, having a hard time feeling bad for them.”
How many on the left here are going to make excuses for this Dem?

Quote:
Kenny Zoeller, executive director of the Nebraska Republican Party, said Thursday that there is nothing funny about the trauma experienced by those who witnessed the shooting or feared for their safety.

“That sort of acceptance of violence is furthering the divide in an already hyper-polarized political environment,” he added.
What I keep saying.

Omg... bro for the last time, it has nothing, literally. Nothing. To do. With politics. At all.

For him, the shooter yes politics. Why? Not purely solely for killing Republican congressmen, he was afraid. Why did he shoot the congressman? What was his reason? He made it about partisanship.

For others to come into rationalizing it and saying yup. Evil man, evil deed BUT IT'S TRUMP'S FAULT! HE PUSHED HIM is a load of horse chit and another false narrative and more anti Trump rhetoric and you know it.

Tell it like it is, dude was a messed up individual that went off the deep end. End of story. That's it. That's all that has to be said. It's not a pizzing contest to see who's side is more violent, or claim this is Trump's fault. Trump didn't father him. Trump didn't raise him. Trump didn't channel wizardry magic spells or consult with a voodoo doctor to make this happen. It's not. Trumps. Fault.

Do you blame columbine on a video game?
Benghazi on a youtube video?
Do you blame the instrument or the person using it?
Do you blame a rapper for inner city violence?
Do you blame a metal band for violent youth?

That's what I'm fed up with. Pass the blame. No accountability. Yup. All Trump's fault.

They just convicted a young girl of manslaughter for egging on a kid to commit suicide. How is it not similar to some far leftist wacko asking for Republicans to be shot or be beheaded? In both cases the person being influenced could be considered crazy.

An update on Scalise's condition:

Scalise Remains in Critical Condition, More Surgeries Planned - NBC News

"Although a shot to the hip might seem like a place only involving bones, this area is one of the worst to sustain this kind of trauma.

In addition to the pelvic and leg bones, there are also very large blood vessels along with the bladder and colon. A bullet from an assault rifle traveling through this area typically injures all of these vessels and organs."

Very sad.

Not the statement that I answered now was it? I answered the statement that "you have to be 65+ to get Medicare". Given that someone can get it at 18 that person would then be below 65 when Medicare kicked in right?

What I said is that one might not be able to get on SSDI if under 18. So, if you are 18 when you start getting SSDI, the two year waiting period to get on SSDI/Medicare would mean you would be 20, or at least 19, before getting medicare.

That's life. Scalise isn't the only person that's ever been shot. Also, Scalise has health insurance.

Would this be in the same vein as righty extremists who continue to tell people that the media is a tool of the government (without proof) and that mass shootings are really psyops distractions? Both beliefs lead to paranoia and distrust and violence.

Again, all factions are somewhat at fault here as is mental illness.
