My question is what, if anything, will these liberals do to work towards the civility they claim they want?

Will they stop claiming that efforts to reform the failed ACA will result in "killing thousands of people"?

Will they stop claiming that conservatives are bigots/racists/xenophobes simply because they want illegal immigration addressed.

Will they stop making wild-eyes accusations of treason with no evidence whatsoever simply because they lost an election?

Will they stop encouraging their followers to "resist," to "take out Trump and company," and warning that there must be "blood in the streets"?

Will they stop violent protests that silence political speech they disagree with at colleges and universities?

Will they stop their angry and hateful rhetoric about racism and brutality committed on a systemic basis by police officers and other law enforcement officials?

My prediction is that we'll have a few days of relative quiet from the left, and then it will be back to the same all out war of rhetoric on conservatives and Republicans. And then, predictably, more violence will follow as the next unhinged Bernie supporter loses it and makes an assassination attempt or worse.

The leftist rhetoric is based on basic original political 1960's communist/socialist party form of change. The idea that they are at war with America, at the system and the general idea of capitalism. Freedom, Religion and the constitution are all enemies of the socialist agendas. This is the Loudest part of the current democrat party and many parts of the left news media.
Which is how the unions, teacher unions and many labor parties, black lives matter and other leftist are just IDEAS of the communist/socialist parties. Now injustices and other events are real, but you soon find the agendas of these groups soon become the extreme left 60's style revolt not peaceful or "american" free speech.

This is an entirely biased post, but I'll answer.

I don't know. Liberals have no power right now so there really isn't anything we can do. I do think liberals need to have better dialogue with Trump supporters to better understand why his supporters are so devoted. With that said, conservatives have to be willing to have a dialogue as well, which I don't see happening.

It's hyperbole, but it's not entirely untrue, at least in the case of TrumpCare

Moderate Democrats want illegal immigration stopped as well, but conservatives shouting at legal citizens who happen to be Hispanic to "go home" does not help their case that they aren't really bigots and racists.

There is no evidence? How about Trump let the thing go and let the chips fall where they may. If he's innocent, he has nothing to worry about. When will Trump supporters stop defending, making excuses for, or even ignoring every blunder he makes?

No sane liberal is calling for blood in the streets. Perhaps I should say all conservatives want gay people hanging from ropes because Pastor Steven Anderson of Faithful Word Baptist Church in Tempe AZ preaches that?

What about peaceful protests? If a progressive group organizes a protest and 99.9% of the attendants are peaceful, Sean Hannity and Alex Jones will focus on the 0.01% and paint the entire liberal ideology with that brush.

Do you really believe there is no racial motivation behind the actions of some police officers?

We don't have to agree on everything to agree on this. I think a big first step is if we could stop seeing one another as 'the other.'
Seeing each other as "the other" will only cease when both sides cooperate. Unfortunately for the Democrats I do not view them as equals. They campaign against everything I stand for and demonize me. Fine by me , Im not a victim. NY lost a tax payer. Florida gained an asset.

I'm a believer in live and let live. Being independent and successful in your endeavors. Not rely on a more intrusive government to increase taxation to provide success to others. The IRS and states with income tax are not Robin Hood.

What I can't wrap my head around, is the lefts stance on the travel ban when theyre the champions for gays and women, yet want to allow folks from a part of the world where records are poor or non existent of a populace of people who are zealots that seek to destroy modern day western and liberal society seems counter productive to take the chance of allowing those that behead and commit heinous acts against gays and women to come into the country with open arms, nor wanting to have Voter ID.

Voter ID should be bipartisan. Nobody gets upset when ID is required for a mortgage loan travel hotel purchase of alcohol tobacco or to go to the emergency room... why not ensure elections are completely fair?

Three decades of history show that being civil to the radical right wing accomplishes nothing. It would be insane to continue behavior with only negative results.

Did you hear the bad news? A bus full of Republicans drove off a bridge and they all drowned. The bad news? One seat was empty.

3 policies that you disagree with of Trump's I see as treasonous.

Banning the travel ban
The Wall
Voter ID

And going against guns and the 2nd ammendment, I don't care what political affiliation. I left a state that would make me a felon worse than a child molester, for owning an AR AK platform rifle. What I want to really know is...

How is it if I don't like a states policy, I leave and go to a free state to rid myself of its policy and intrusiveness and gross taxation.

Yet if I was in a different party I get to scrutinize and push my ideology onto others and not listen or take their voice into consideration and down play it as well you just need to compromise...

There was no compromise in NY. Been there. Tried that.

Here's some good news... the driver was a liberal and their families seized the drivers assets after the plot to kill was unraveled.

Even Better news She's not your president

The very last thing anyone should do is take advice or be demanded to answer questions on incivility from conservatives, not after they enthusiastically placed into the presidency the least civil, most outrageously offensive man in US history. You guys will never live that down, and I think it's hilarious how hard you're trying to act like liberals are the true offenders. Have you people no shame?

OK, how about we start by seeking a POTUS who would try reintroducing civility to politics and toning down the rhetoric? Or will you be content making this an 'only one party is guilty of anything' BS issue?

EASY!!!!, we will ask you yet again to stop watching FOX, stop shooting people. Stop lying about leaders of left. You guys spent the last few decades LYING about Obama, Hillary and virtually any Dem you see as a threat.

IF you don't want this, turn off Fox, tell your FOX friends to stop the endless lies and attacks on innocent Americans.

Or keep up your Right wing crazy stuff and you will find we can be just as dumb just as unfair, tell just as many lies. We can buy papers, launch websites.
Really this is a problem created by the extremists on the Right, i suggest you get your house in order and THEN talk to the left.

Of course the threats of violence from the right never end, just today a restaurant in Texas was forced to close down because the owner is muslim and the threats and attacks have been getting worse, bet fox is not showing that story.

Socialists, Progressives....ANYBODY & EVERYBODY that might be guilty of "stirring the post-election hatred" pot......They all need to be sat down in a corner with a bar of soap in their mouths. NO television priveleges for the foresee-able future (READ: NO politically biased mainstream NEWS CRAP, classes in REALITY & anger management. Bunch of cry babies, not getting their way.....ALL of them. This country is SO in the toilet.
