Smart move on Pence's part. The rest of this administration would be well advised to follow suit.

Unlike Trump, he was smart enough to hire one with DC/political experience.

Smart on Pence's part. Especially as he has an idiot as a boss who all but incriminates himself every single day. He needs to put some distance between him and Trump.

Not a good sign for Trump, since the attorney will be looking out for Pence's best interest.

I wonder how he can afford it. He is not a wealthy man and the lawyer he chose bill $ thousands an hour.

Does the GOP kick in or donors?

Well, that's what happens when you hitch your star to someone as dishonest, corrupt, and 2-faced as Donald Trump. Trump lied continuously about virtually everything during the campaign so it's not like Pence didn't know what he was dealing with. The man was an IDIOT to sign on as Trumps' running mate. No it's gonna cost him BIG TIME - but that's what happens when you're stupid.

Maybe not. If Trump gets impeached, Pence becomes POTUS. Even if he doesn't, all Pence has to do is be quiet and he should be able to avoid the political fallout. It seems everyone in Trump's cabinet is exercising better judgment than Trump is.
