In the aftermath of the incident with Castile, we know he wasn't a criminal.
But a police officer does not know this when he or she pulls someone over.

I stand firm, both Castle and Yanez played a part in the unfortunate chain of events.
And the rise in crime area it happened also played a part.
I also stand firm, Castiles mother should not have gotten any money.

Correct.
And I hear differing opinions and that is okay.
What's important is that we dont shut out anyone's opinions or berate them for it.
I don't think any less of anyone who has a different of opinion. It is just as important.
When I think less is when someone is a jerk to someone else cause they think differently.

I'm sure that you would be fine with the payout if Mr. Castile had not been black.

I just wish she pursued federal charges against the officer. Back in the 90s when Amadou Diallo was gunned down in a NYC stairwell, the local court acquitted all of the officers but federal charges were administered and several of them got jail time.

Easy for me to say as no one close to me has been gunned down like that. I just wish the Castile family would have pursued federal charges first. Get justice first before getting paid.

Now that they have the money they should proceed with a Federal Case.

Oh good.lord.
These types of comments are racist.
You cause divisions with such hateful comments.

If you think race is a factor then fine.
But don't throw it at me personally!

Part of the settlement is that they cannot pursue a Federal case. I suppose they can, but they'll have to give the $$ up.
