So are you denying that their were calls broadcast on Egyptian TV for a demonstration over the film at the US embassy in Cairo?
These calls were documented in the Republican led investigations and was the basis for the warning the CIA issued for Cairo prior to the attack in Benghazi.

We have troops stationed all around the Mideast, the attack lasted for hours, but nobody was deployed.
The 31st fighter wing is stationed at Aviano air base in Italy. Apparently, they no longer sit alert there as they were not able to scramble so much as a single jet.
We spend more on our military than the next seven nations combined, and the DOD could not get a single fighter to run a bombing pass, could not get planeloads of SpOps teams to help out.
The scandal wasn't that Clinton was blaming it on terrorists watching a movie when in reality it was terrorists who had planned an attack (and who cares?), it was that the military was ordered into action and didn't go.
You can characterize the forces as not deploying if you want yet the lead forces of the deployment arrived in Libya the morning after the attack(s).

Answer the question. Were there calls for demonstrations at the US embassy in Cairo over the film or not? Its a simple question. The answer is well known as the fact that the CIA issued a warning because of the called for demonstrations.

Wait. This thread is getting jacked into a whole retrial of Benghazi. Simple question the deflections are leaving unanswered, why not lock her up? Where are the hearings now, under the trump DOJ?
They may have arrived in Libya the morning after the attacks, but they didn't deploy when ordered to.

They were in the process of deploying. Clearly they were not well positioned to arrive in Libya within time to make a difference for those under attack in Benghazi. I'm doing this from memory, but I believe one unit was redeployed from Croatia and moved to southern Italy. Other units were flown to Spain in preparation for deployment to Libya.
We all know what happened at Benghazi. Our guys were left out there to fend for themselves while Obama and Hillary played politics and then lied about the attack to the American people. To this day they will say that it was a peaceful protest turned ugly due to a video.
Is the truth that hard to tell? It just goes to show what a bunch of hypocrites they are, meeting the caskets and telling the widows that they will get the guy responsible for the video.
As for prosecuting Hillary I think she has already paid the price for her lies when she lost what she thought was her due.
The hypocrisy is ridiculous when you consider how Hillary was given a pass by most of the media, the attorney general and the FBI while they are all digging like mad to try and get something besides innuendo on Trump.

As to whether it was a peaceful protest that turned ugly or a terrorist plan that turned ugly, the bottom line is that is that our military couldn't get organized to get there in time.
Hard to imagine how much security an embassy would have had to have in place to repel an attack of this size.
This is not the first attack on an embassy, nor will it be the last. They depend on the military backing them up.
Whether the military is able to do this is the question.
Fighter pilots from Aviano air base used to sit alert at Naval Air Station Sigonella down in the boot of Italy. That would have put them just across the Mediterranean Sea from Benghazi, less than an hour away.
During the attack, there were no fighters sitting alert at Naval Air Station Sigonella, but there were F-16s ready to go in Aviano but the order never came. They could have been there in less than three hours.
Stevens and Smith were killed in the first attack, but Woods and Doherty weren't killed under 8 hours later. B
