And depending on circumstances, those Rs might decide that that the politically smartest thing to do would be to dump Trump before the party shatters.
This is just another of those Right Wing Myths. The only people Trump needs to fear are the Republicans. Only they can impeach Trump. And only they may wish to...

The Democrats will likely prevent any attempt to convict Trump if he is impeached. There is no gain for them in going to Pence instead of Trump.

There are some individual Democrats calling for Trump's impeachment but they won't vote for it when push comes to shove.

What the Democrats wish is for Trump to proceed as he has been doing through the 2018 election. That should get the Democrats control of both houses. Than they can torment an emasculated Trump until 2020.

The deplorables are about to harvest what they sowed.

Not gonna happen.

Trump destroyed 16 GOP challengers already. And he continues to fill venues beyond capacity wherever he decides to hold a rally. There is no other national politician from either party that can do it like Trump.

Some people think that Trump doesn't have this support now. Well.... they were the same ones who said that he didn't have it when it came to beating Hillary too. Insanity runs deep with some.
  • Trump won't be impeached.
  • Trump will be the GOP nominee in 2020
  • Democrats will continue to lose as long as this is all they've got. Wouldn't even surprise me if they nominated Hillary again.

This week the US Senate voted 98-2 in favor of giving congress control of Russian sanctions and taking away the sole control from Trump. Only 2 GOP Senators voted against this.

This shows the the Republicans and Democrats in the US Senate can unite together against Trump, for the good of the country.

If impeachment is necessary, it's likely the US Senate will again have bipartisan support by putting the country first.

CNN is Fake News.

What they didn't tell you is that Merkel, the same Merkel that Trump haters call leader of free world now, has said that if the Senate passes this bill, that Germany will retaliate against USA. Apparently it will hurt German business in Russia.

Of course if one only gets news from CNN, they would not know this just like they thought Hillary would win election.

Ouch.

LOL

I am making no predictions that this will happen. But I do think the chances are significantly greater than zero.

Remember, Trump ran against the GOPe as much as he ran against Clinton. They have by no means forgotten it and his congressional support is not that deep.

If you are a Republican Senator, it is quite likely that you come from one of the 29 states Trump won.

That means 58 Senators have to seriously worry about getting paid back for their treason by their home state's voters.

As it stands, to pull off their coup, Democrats would have to pick-up 21 Republican votes.
