You've got how many countries out there already providing a form of single payer or universal healthcare system with better outcomes to millions of people all over the planet at far less cost than what Americans are currently paying but all we continually read on here is the fear mongering that America would go broke attempting to do the same.

Is that an indictment on your present form of "everything for profit" or not?

What failed about the ACA was it being stymied at the gate from having any form of controlling costs. Which side of the house was responsible for that? Which side of the house will ALWAYS be responsible for that?

Individually paying in the neighbourhood of 16K a year for any efficient form of healthcare but at the same time pointing castigating fingers at countries with marginally higher taxes providing the same coverage without any co-pays or deductibles to ALL it's citizens seem intelligent to you?

Yes, it does. If you don't pay, you don't get. Americans don't want to pay, so they don't get. Who doesn't understand that?

Universal Health Care is the smart move here.

UHC puts American businesses on an equal financial footing with businesses from countries who do provide it. Employee paid health insurance costs are a tariff on our own products and services.

UHC supports entrepreneurship and small business start-ups. No question that this is a driving force in our economy.

UHC would allow many on disability to pursue employment. They dare not now for fear of losing their health insurance, which would be a death sentence for some.

UHC is the Christian thing to do. What would Jesus say about pulling health care coverage from millions to fund tax cuts for the rich?

UHC is the honorable thing to do. What would we think of a Seal team that left members behind?

With all the greed and profit taking in the American system, I can see why many want off the hook.

Only the ones who say idiotic stuff like "don't pay" or "want to pay" when all of those other countries citizens ARE paying.

"Free healthcare" is only a figment of American profiteers imagination to flagellate the less informed with.

You and your confreres are already paying for those who 'cannot' or 'won't pay' and you're already paying FAR more to achieve less....what about that don't you get?

I see you need to better inform yourself as to who gets the bulk of the profits in corporate America...

Who are the US's biggest investors?

Baloney.

The majority if Americans want to keep ACA. Check Gallup polls, etc. if you doubt me.

Or check what the Republicans are up to. They know only about 30% want to repeal ACA. Hence the backroom business.

The rest of us want to keep it and realize that it is paid for out of taxes.

Exactly, but somehow, many idiotic Americans think they can have it for free.
