Incorrect...read your Constitution. Nixon was convicted of no crime..and was impeached and would have tossed out of office had the Senate voted. He resigned knowing this.

If President Trump is impeached (and convicted) then Pence becomes President.

President Pence immediately pardons Trump and appoints him as Vice President.

Pence resigns, Trump becomes President and appoints Pence as his Vice President.

Leftists heads explode

I don't think that would be legally possible

Impeach? Currently I think Trump is a buffoon but I have yet to see anything that is impeachable.

Theoretically, anyway. It's an interesting analysis of how the impeachment process could potentially play out and which current senators could vote in favor of impeachment. I'm not saying it's accurate and I'm not suggesting the author is completely unbiased. But interesting nonetheless.
A willingness to "take on the president" (whatever that means), and an unwillingness to work with the president, is a FAR cry from impeachment.

PS - I'm suggesting the author is completely biased.

Not really, that's just a censure. President can only be impeached for high crimes and misdemeanors. Lying to Congress, obstruction of justice, and so on. Clinton was impeached for lying to Congress. Nixon would have been impeached for obstruction of justice, but he resigned beforehand. Obstruction of justice is the likely charge against Trump if it would ever come to pass. I would be amazed if it ever happened though, the President in our System is well protected from the long arm of justice. There are plenty of people walking the streets that ought to be in jail.

Nixon wasn't impeached but resigned to keep from getting convicted of a crime that would have got him impeached.
