meh. we either have a case of amazing coincidental timing or the club exploiting the office of the presidency to raise membership fees ( even if it's to a previous rate ).

It takes months and months or sometimes years to sell companies and properties like the ones he owns.
By law he didn't have to sell his businesses and everyone knew about his businesses way before the election .
Oh well the price of being the potus

Yes we know, emoluments clause. It's been best to death; no violation. Get over it.

I don't hear the members crying about the increase in price .

Crying about the membership fee is just petty
How about all the money he makes from vacationing there every weekend? Do you consider that petty as well?

DELETED

This post was a reply to a post on page 1.

On page 2, I noticed that someone else beat me to it with the answer I had provided in this post.

The people of the United States pay him a salary to work. Does he have to nickel and dime us to death also?
Seems he expenses the air he breathes, where he craps, where he sleeps and every other function of daily living back to us.
We provide him with full facilities at taxpayer expense for his daily living. All other presidents have never had a problem with the tax payer funded facilities we provide for the president, except Trump.

to his credit he is vacationing at camp david this weekend ( first time ). altho i still expect the cost of the trump family vacations to exceed in the first year all 8 years of the obama family, something trump was critical of before taking office. also, as you noted, a good chunk of that tax payer money will be going into the trump organization pocket.
