There are plenty of people upset about Trump outside of liberal circles. If you're not aware of this, then you're simply not paying attention.
You get this fallacious argument here all the time, but I've noticed it is not being used as frequently since it has become pretty obvious that the backlash is all over the political spectrum. They are completely aware of this, but of course they won't say that because it is easy to have a straw man to bring out and whip when it is expedient (liberals, immigrants, Mexicans, Islamists, Rhinos, take your pick).
I originally would have just opted for "stupid" - and I don't like to toss around the word "evil." But his eagerness to shaft so many people so cruelly, and to potentially even endanger millions with actions like his undermining policies for clean water and funding for the CDC, that's going beyond just stupid.
I'm going with all of the above. Throw in willful ignorance, which is a form of evil, and his underlying psychoses and you have someone that will go down in infamy.
Trump is evil because he is appealing to prejudice. He is so focused on getting to an evil outcome—discriminating against people on the basis of religion and national origin—that he will deny reality and not even bother with logical arguments.
Trump is not simply the unique case of a normal person who is somehow always dealing with an incomplete or incorrect set of facts, or who makes logical errors, or who is always acting in bad faith —naive, stupid, or evil. He is his own category.
Willful ignorance -- I like the sound of that but I don't really think he is willful about his ignorance. He really doesn't have a clue how complex so many of these issues are.
Evil -- only when pushed...and only because that's what his wife says and if she says it -- BELIEVE IT. Wives know their husbands more than anybody and if they think they can be evil if pushed believe it.
He's a con man...and a bully and many other things.
It takes a certain intelligence to be a con man and take people for money, sex and everything else and not be in jail.
So although he is clueless about the real world and evil, he is not naive or stupid. He is closer to the spoiled child in the sense that things always worked for him before, so why would he change his ways.
He is not worldly in terms of understanding politics, history, geography and current events.
He is really a very rate type of personality....mostly due to being raised in NYC with a silver spoon in his mouth. He has little idea of the real world and never will.
He's on "autopilot" to protect himself.....and could care less about others (any others).
Trump has a sack and no filter. Liberal crybabies can't handle it. Don't know what you'll do for the next 7 1/2 years. Maybe Bruce Jenner or some movie stars can help you out??
