I don't think ignore is the right word. I think we have many debates on the amount of money spent in the Middle East and defense -- don't we?

I get it -- what you meant to say is -- it's a good thing to cut frivolous expenses but we still have to review the big ticket items. That is true.

I thought you were suggesting that we ignore the frivolous because we had bigger issues.

My private sector employer offers discounts for gym memberships. Healthy employees = lower healthcare costs.

But if the government does it, it's obviously a waste.

I said, this was good. You got defensive because I pointed out even bigger (far bigger) waste's people who will cheer this by and large ignore.

I could be wrong.......this wasn't a discount. I'm sure the government could say "We have X number of employee's, what sort of discount will you offer for us to pass this on to them"?
