A long tedious thread was created that suggests that women are less happy as a result of feminism.

While women may be less happy for a number of reasons, I doubt the suggestion that their level of "happiness" is due to some evolutionary need to be subservient and wonder if women would turn back the clock, if possible.

I've included both "male" and "female" choices because it might be amusing.

Let me guess -- it was a bunch of men deciding women are less happy -- lol.

If all of your wives, girlfriends, mothers, sisters, aunts, etc. aren't happy -- don't blame it on feminism......lol.

The emancipation of women, as opposed to radical feminism, is the largest single societal force since the Enlightenment, and I don't have a problem with it. What I do have a problem with is the attachment of all "women's issues" to a broad-spectrum Leftist ideology. That and, at the other end of the economic spectrum, the continued hijacking of real progress by Madison Avenue, Hollywood, and a culture of trending, spending, and gender-bending. It's the young, our boys in particular, with a diminished sense of a heritage and the responsibility that goes with it, who will pay the cost over the long run.

Can you elaborate?

Also, why do you suppose that feminism is "attached" to leftist ideology?

LOL, that was my point in essence. That unraveling WHY females might be less happy, is a very tircky prospect.

Some women are less happy just like they were before feminism was thought of, it is part of being human.
Just like men who have been less happy throughout the history of humans.
This is not a new concept and in reality *could* have little or nothing to do with feminism and everything to do with being
human.

No.

I have some criticisms for the current feminist movement, but this very modern (some call it third wave feminism) is still part of the feminist tradition which I think was a necessary and important development in western political and social thought.

The feminists do NOT represent a strong woman. A strong woman does not become unhinged, does not scream obscenities ,and whine with hateful rhetoric . Those women are weak hateful and crazy.

The 1st and 2nd wave feminist were on the right track and did great things for womans equality in America, but it has gone way too far with the 3rd wave of men haters. They have dug them a hole of misery for their lives. Single, grumpy and PO'ed at the world and all men, for making their lives hell.

Women have gained the equality of a man, yet they are more miserable than they ever have been.
Because they cannot find a sexual partner, beside another woman, that can stand to be around them for more than a minute.

They are training these beta males and they grow up not know what it is to be a man.
Societal ruin is soon to come from it, but I have hope in the next generation coming up. They are rebelling against it.

The feminist movement that fought for women rights to make their own choices as equals to men was healthy for society.

The current feminist movement that hates white men and blames the 'patriarchy' for all societal ills is very unhealthy and destructive to society.
